Brigt Dale

Brigt DaleBrigt Dale holds a Cand.Polit degree in Social and Visual Anthropology and has just joined the GAPS initiative as an IPY (International Polar Year) – financed PhD-student at the Department of Political Science at the University of Tromsø. He has been employed as a research advisor and project manager at the Department of Community Medicine, with responsibility for the High North and Russian research portfolio of the Department. He has participated in the production of a number of anthropological documentary films, and has field work experience from the Caribbean Island of Tobago and Tromsø town, and has been working with gender issues, identity, comparative studies, locality and globalization and research dissemination. In the GAPS project, Dale will be working with Human Security issues connected to oil and gas activities in the high north and its impact on the lives of people living in the north.
